More and more brands are giving a second life to recycled plastic. Los Angeles-based premium apparel company, Recycled Karma Brands, has launched a new label with this purpose in mind.

The newly launched The Green Label offers eco-friendly sustainable fashion made from recycled plastic. Each shirt from the collection reuses fibers from five single-use plastic bottles, and is made with post-industrial cotton that is sourced domestically.

Recycled Karma's creative director and CEO has prioritized creating fashion with function and purpose since joining the company last year, aiming "to help the environment and give consumers Recycled Karma," according to a company statement.

The Green Label works to reduce the carbon footprint with each purchase. Sustainability is extended into the production and packaging of the line, eliminating thousands of pounds of new raw material waste. Items are even packaged in biodegradable poly bags using an Oxo-Biodegradable Plastic Additive.

The first collection from The Green Label will launch in Fall 2019 with prices ranging from 55 to 85 dollars.
