Keen to boost adoption of its foxed line broadband offering, Orange UK has partnered with retailer PC World to give laptops away with its broadband packages.

Customers signing up for the Orange Broadband Starter Package in a PC World store get an Ei Systems laptop – Windows XP Home, 256MB RAM, 40GB hard drive and a 15.4″ widescreen – bundled in with the package.

The service costs £14.99 per month, with the first three months for half price, for an up to 2MB ADSL line, a router, and a 2GB per month download limit. Subscribers are locked into a 24 month contract.

Customers can also choose from a number of alternative laptops if they want something a bit more high-end. In this case Orange is offering a £300 subsidy against a number of other machines.
