Irish mobile operator Meteor is reported to have signed a three year roaming agreement with Vodafone Ireland, giving former partner O2 the cold shoulder.

As a result, O2 Ireland is reported to be Eur10m per year out of pocket. The contract will stat from February.

The agreement will allow Meteor to use Vodafone’s 2G and 2.5G network in areas where Meteor has yet to deploy infrastructure, mainly along the west coast from county Kerry to Donegal.
