In honor of the 20th anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants, one of Nickelodeon's longstanding and most popular cartoons, Nike has collaborated with NBA player Kyrie Irving for a SpongeBob SquarePants themed sneaker collection inspired by the recognizable characters from the show. Irving is a major fan of the show and worked in collaboration with Nike to create SpongeBob inspired version of his Kyrie 2 and Kyrie 5 styles.
The Kyrie 5 sneaker was designed with a yellow polka dot pattern and a red and brown sole inspired by SpongeBob's uniform. The sneakers also include an image of SpongeBob on the inside soles. Another version of the Kyrie 5 sneaker is inspired by SpongeBob's best friend, Patrick Star, featuring a pink polka dot pattern with a green and purple sole inspired by Patrick's swim trunks.

The other sneakers in the collection come in red, white, and turquoise, and are inspired by additional characters including Mr. Krabs, Sandy Cheeks, and Squidward Tentacles. Price points for the collection range from 55 dollars to 130 dollars. They will be available beginning August 10.
