France Telecom said Thursday that it notched up 2.26 million new ADSL subscribers in Europe during 2006 to bring its total user base to 9.7 million.
During the year, the number of Livebox installations more than doubled to 4.15 million in Europe at the end of 2006.
VoIP users nearly tripled to 2.536 million, while IPTV users increased slightly to 590,000 subscribers.
In the mobile arena, Orange recorded a 15 per cent increase in its mobile customer base to reach 97.6 million, with a sharp increase in 3G users from 1.6 million in 2005 to 5.8 million in 2006.
Group revenues for 2006 were almost flat at Eur51.7bn, while net income for 2006 is expected to be between Eur3.9bn and Eur4.1bn compared with Eur3.9bn in 2005.
