US 4G operator Clearwire is rumoured to be auctioning off a portion of its wireless spectrum as it aims to raise between $2.5bn and $5bn for expansion of its WiMAX network. Interested parties have been named as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile USA, Time Warner Cable and Sprint Nextel.
