Bill Bregar was the consummate reporter for the plastics industry — all he was missing was the hat with a press badge and an old-fashioned camera.

Over the many years that I knew Bill, his passion for the industry was only surpassed by his nose for a news story. Bill was a great storyteller, and this was never more obvious than in his coverage of the Plastics Hall of Fame and his stories about the inductees. He would go to great lengths to interview each of the new members prior to the triennial induction at NPE and develop wonderful stories around their personae and accomplishments.

On behalf of the board of the Plastics Academy, we send our condolences to his family. He will be warmly remembered and missed for the years to come.
