UK telco BT this week launched a mobile office offering for small to medium enterprises.

The Office Anywhere service, which is based around HTC’s S620 smartphone, embraces VoIP by offering free hour long internet calls to UK landlines and capped calls to UK mobiles and international landlines from BT Openzone wifi hotspots and from home and office networks.

Calls to UK mobiles are capped at £0.25 for up to an hour, while VoIP calls to international landlines, whether made from the UK or abroad, are capped at £0.10 or £0.2p for up to an hour, depending on the destination.

The device has a QWERTY keyboard and a 2.4″ screen colour display to facilitate access to email and the web.

In the package, customers can choose either a 250 or 700 minute a month call bundle and one of three data bundles: Office Anywhere Simple with 10Mb a month; Office Anywhere Professional for 30Mb a month: and Office Anywhere unlimited.

The respective bundles cost £39.50, £47.50, and £54.50, with 250 minutes and £60.50, £68.50, and £75.50 with 700 minutes.
